AVG Blocking Website

AVG Antivirus can block access to certain websites that it seems to be potential threats. Here are some steps to unblock websites in AVG:

  1. Open AVG Internet Security.
  2. Click on Menu > Settings.
  3. Select Basic Protection from the left panel, then click Web Shield.
  4. Uncheck or disable the “Enable site blocking” option.
  5. Click on “Show blocked websites.
  6. Click on the website you want to unblock and select “Unblock.

If you want to allow access to a specific website,

  1. Open AVG Internet Security.
  2. Click on Menu > Settings.
  3. Select Basic Protection from the left panel, then click Web Shield.
  4. Check or enable the “Enable site blocking” option.
  5. Click on “Show blocked websites.
  6. Click the “+ Add Website” button and enter the URL of the website you want to allow.

If AVG is blocking a website incorrectly, you can report it as a false positive.

  1. Visit the AVG False Positive Reporting Form 1.
  2. Fill out the form with details about the blocked website and submit it.

AVG will investigate the website and update their database if it is a false positive.
